Terry De Havilland - Cobblers to the World

Since the 1960s this talented London footwear designer has been creating amazingly sexy boots and shoes from the King's Road to Camden Town. Many of you probably remember Magic Shoes? Terry was its co-founder and design guru, creating styles like the open-toe, front-zip, rubber thigh-high or the utilitarian "Smeg" boot, worn and adored by everyone from impoverished fetish-club kids to high-priced dominas!

Just a few weeks ago DJ was in London to interview Terry for this month's Bootmaker Profile. Aside from securing a hoard of great boot photos for your delectation, all De Havilland designs of course, he also got the dirt on Magic Shoe's demise and confirmed the unsavory news about another London bootmaker we have highlighted in a past Bootmaker Profile. This is one report you really shouldn't miss!

Patricia's Pony Boots

No matter what your opinion of the horse's hoof boot design, the unique pair of knee-highs we have for you in this issue's Boot-of-the-Month feature deserve mention because of their fascinating history. Owned and worn by Mistress Patricia, from London, who will be next month's Bootlovers.Com professional dominatrix profile, these fascinating boots are but one of 12 pairs ever made by apprentice designer Fleur Oakes. Each of the 12 pairs was slightly different and, since being made almost a dozen years ago, they have disappeared into the private collections of devoted bootlovers across the four corners of the world. We're just lucky to have tracked down one pair, along with the very kinky lady who cherishes them!
